The American beach at  Omaha is the main objective of our second day.
Whilst en-route to Omaha we follow the route taken by American troops to La Haye du Puits and Hill 122. The site of one of the major battles during the liberation of Normandy. From there we visit the martyred village of Grainges, before going to Pointe du Hoc, where the Rangers scaled the cliffs to silence a German Batterie.

At Omaha we drive along the length of the beach, and include time at Wn62 one of the German gun positions, which caused so many problems for the Americans "Big Red One" on D-day.
Finally we pay our respects at  the poignant American Cemetery at Colleville St-Laurent, situated on the cliffs above the beach, and place flowers of one of our adopted graves.
