On the first day we start the tour at La Fiere where the 82nd American Airborne division landed just after midnight on D-Day. From here we travel east to St. Mere Eglise, the first town to be liberated and made famous in the film "The Longest Day". Whilst in the town we visit the church and the museum dedicated to the 82nd and the 101st American Parachute Infantry Regiments.

From here we travel on to Utah Beach and to the museum which explains the D-Day landings. We also visit the northern stretches of the beach where General Patton's army came ashore later in the battle. We'll also see his secret camp in an orchard.

Whilst en-route to Utah Beach we visit the monument to members of Easy Company of the 506th, portrayed in the Band of Brothers who were killed when their C47 was shot down near Ste Mere Eglise, and also visit Brecourt Manoir, made famous by the "Band of Brothers".

The next port of call is the German Battery at Azeville and other German Defence posts. Our last visit of the day is to the German cemetery at Orglandes.
